Moonsilver's Dream

Just a short, simple Yule note:

Hello everybody. I hope that everyone here is having a wonderful Yule Holiday and that all your fondest wishes are coming true this year. You who are Streamers are the best and you all deserve the best this Holiday season.
This Holiday is always hard on me and there are others I know who have a bad time at this time of year. My son's birthday is Dec. 24. He would have turned 25 this year. We are having a Birthday party at this time with all our friends and Aaron's friends too. We are still kinda partying with a couple of friends still here. It's been a nice evening, we've had a very good time. I need the kids to spend a little time with me at this time of year. It keeps him close to us all.
I think the weather has been giving me a hard time or maybe it's some depression that's making me hurt more. I don't know but it makes it hard to get out of bed and I'm not getting things done that I want to do. I haven't even been blogging like usual but I want you all to know that even if I haven't written in my blogg or commented on your bloggs, it doesn't mean I'm not reading your bloggs and comments. I thank you all for the wonderful comments you gave to me. They do cheer me up and it's good to know that you all are thinking of me. Thank you all for the Yule time cheer!

In Memory of Jack David Wright

In memory of a true good man, my Father, Jack David Wright. Born June 20, 1929 - died November 24, 2001. I will always miss my Daddy. I could never have become who I am without him. I couldn't have asked for a better man to be my Daddy. He was the best Father in all the world. I can only pray and hope that my son, Shawn will grow up to be half the man my Father was. He taught me to look for good things in my life and in the people I come into contact with. He taught me to say nothing if I can't say something nice. He taught me to be curious and to try new things. He taught me to be strong and independent. He taught me to never give up, to keep trying.
One day my Dad and I were at our Credit Union and the teller asked me why I hadn't gotten married yet. Usually, I don't know how to answer these kinds of questions. I mean what should I say, because I ain't marrying no redneck, wife beating, alcoholic, jerk? But that day, something just came over me and I looked at the teller and I said, I'll tell you why I haven't gotten married yet, cause I haven't found a man like my Dad. I said when I met a guy like my Dad, fair, honest, intelligent, and loving, well then I would marry that man.
I wanted a marriage like my Mom and Dad had. They were always so much in love. There were times when things were rocky but my Dad always showed his love for my Mom and that's what I wanted too. I have been so blessed. Not only did I have two great Parents to raise me but I did find that man like my Dad and yes, I married him. I wish my Dad had been able to be there. He was there in the spirit form, I know but I can't help but miss him so very much. I feel his presence in my life everyday and I thank him so much for all the lessons he taught me and the gifts he gave to me. I love you, Daddy

 My Magical Symbol

Which Magical Symbol are you most connected to? This is a quiz I took and here are my results:

Glitter is your magical symbol. It represents life and personality which will always be around. The glitter, in itself, expresses vivid excitement, and so always catches the eye of every passer. It's impossible not to automatically look at glitter, have you noticed? The way it sparkles, and beckons your attention... it's GLITTER!

Happy quizilling,

Goddess

 Happy Weekend

Well Halloween is almost here. I sure wish I felt better but its ok. I will find a way to enjoy it as best as I can.
My kidney was hurting when I got up today and it sort of nagged at me most of the day. Right now, it seems ok, I'm pretty tired but I'm not hurting at all, nice, That is until I move one of my legs or one of my feet and owwww. That's just the normal stuff though, I can deal with that, I don't like it, but there seems to be nothing that can be done about it short of me being doped up like a zombie or something. Hey, there's an idea, I could dress up like a zombie for Halloween. I remember one year when I was in Girl Scouts, we had a big Halloween party. I wanted to go but I had leg surgery earlier in the month and had elastic bandages from my toes to my thighs! I was 12 years old and thought wow, what ever could I dress as for the party? My Dad said, how about an Egyptian mummy! We all agreed it would be perfect and my legs were already there. We ripped up an old white bed sheet and dirtied it up some and wrapped it all around my arms and body and we put some on my legs too. Mom wrapped my head up leaving my face open. My Father was an artist, so he painted my face. We took some pictures afterward and my Mom send copies to my Grandparents in New York. When my Grandmother saw them, she nearly fainted.....she thought that I was either dead or dying and told my Mom she better get me to a hospital quick, cause it didn't look like I was going to make it. She said I looked like someone was starving me to death! We all had a great laugh over that one. We did finally convince her that it was all makeup and just a Halloween costume! My Dad was truly good at face painting for sure.
Well, that was one of many great Halloween parties my Parents and others put on for our Girl Scouts.
Yours truly is a very tired lady right now. I tried to get on earlier today, this afternoon to be sure. And was on for a little while. Didn't really get too much done, when I lost my connection and try as I might, it just wasn't to be. It was raining a bit and right about that time it started to really pour down and its been raining the cats and dogs since. So I played a few games on my puter and then Shawn came in and said "let's watch a movie". So tonight became MOVIE NIGHT! We rented and saw "The Fast and The Furious: Toyko Dr." Shawn said Vin Diesel was in it. 3/4 of the way through the movie, I look at Shawn and I said you promised me Vin Diesel was in this here movie I rented. You know its the only reason I let you rent it, now where is he? I said you lied to me about ol'Vin but still it is a pretty good movie anyway. And wouldn't you know it, my boy didn't lie, Vin Diesel is in it,
Oh well, you guys all have fun and have a great Halloween! Who's going to come with me and Linus to wait on the Great Pumpkin out in the pumpkin patch?
