Moonsilver's Dream

 My Number is....

Your Life Path Number is 4

Your purpose in life is to build your vision.

You are practical and responsible. You work hard, knowing that there are no shortcuts in life.

You work for a better life for yourself and those you love, but you are not an idealist.

Trustworthy and honest, you also demonstrate great courage. People can count on you.

In love, you are a loyal and committed partner. You are the ideal spouse.

You don't give up easily, and sometimes you can be too stubborn and unwilling to change.

You also can be too conservative at times. You sometime miss out on good opportunities.

Also remember that not everyone can work as hard as you, as disappointing as that is!

But I hate to work,

A Poet and didn't know it

You Should Be A Poet

You craft words well, in creative and unexpected ways.

And you have a great talent for evoking beautiful imagery...

Or describing the most intense heartbreak ever.

You're already naturally a poet, even if you've never written a poem.

 Moondance Jam

Well, hello, everyone. I’m here at the Moondance Jam in Walker, Minnesota and it rocks We got here on Wed. and saw The Guess Who, Dennis DeYoung of Styxs and The Steve Miller Band. When it turned midnight, it was officially my Birthday and Steve was playing my favorite, “Wild Mountain Honey” and he went right into “Fly Like an Eagle” right after that. It was awesome My Mother-in-Law called me to wish me a happy birthday. She sang happy birthday to me, she is so sweet, with a voice like an angel. My cell phone went dead soon afterward so I didn’t get the call when Shawn called to also wish me a happy birthday. That really made me feel good that he did that. I think it is the first time he has ever remembered my birthday. I didn’t get the message until later the next day but I saved it so I could hear it again and again. When I called him yesterday the first thing he said to me was Happy Birthday, Mom How cool is that? I sure do miss him while I’m out here on the road and I miss my little Cesar too.
I called my Mom too yesterday, to make it easier for her to wish me a Happy Birthday. I heard her tell Ashlyn she didn’t want to talk to me. That really hurt but I didn’t understand it. Why would she say that to me? What had I done wrong now? I sent her flowers on her wedding anniversary which was July 10. She had called and left a message thanking me for them, so what gives, right? I asked her and she says she’s mad because I put her in the hospital and threatened to put her in a nursing home. I put her in the hospital because she broke her foot and took 12 of the 15 pain killers the hospital gave her for pain in less than 24 hours. And I only told her about her going to a nursing home so she would work harder to come home. I don’t want her in a nursing home but I can only do so much and so can the rest of us here. She has to be able to do some things for herself, like going to the bathroom and getting herself dressed. I told her I didn’t want to talk about it any more, that she doesn’t know what’s going on most of the time and when you tell her she can’t remember it five minutes later. I told her I felt insulted that she would ever consider that I would do anything to harm her or make her life bad in any way. I told her I love her, she’s my Momma and all I ever want is for her to be happy.
I got very upset with her and then I hung up on her. I just couldn’t take it any more and it was my birthday and I wanted to have a good day. I was determined not to let her ruin it for me. I guess I should call her and apologize to her for raising my voice. I don’t mean to be mean to her. She’s just so hard to please and it seems that’s all I’ve ever tried to do my whole life, is please her. I think that’s all my Dad ever did either. You can’t please her, it isn’t possible. The woman is mental and always has been. She has been on tranquilizers for as long as I can remember. I have never been able to figure out what she needs them for. All she ever seems to do is sleep and when she is awake, all she does is sit in her lounge chair and watch TV. Boy, you better not say a word when one of her programs is on, even if it is on tape. She watches old shows on TVLand all the time. Like she never saw them the first time they aired, right? I don’t know, maybe she’s just living in the past too much. But you can’t tell her anything, she won’t listen. She doesn’t care to get well or to do anything else with her life. I think sometimes she just wants to give up and die. I don’t really blame her. If I were in her shoes, I’d be pretty depressed too.
After that little phone call, I took a deep breath and put it all out of my mind and proceeded to have a very nice birthday. We watched Santana’s Gregg Rollie, Ted Nugent and Alice Cooper. All put on great shows. I’ve seen Alice Cooper three times now and each time he does things different. He puts on a pretty cool show. His daughter dances and is part of the show with him. She’s very good and each time I see her, it seems she gets even better. They had a different guitine this time. It had a big golden angel on top of it. They cut Alice’s head off and his daughter goes around the stage with it in her hand, freaky. At one point in the show, she does this little skit that she is like Paris Hilton with her little dog. The dog attacks her and she bites it back and is covered in blood. Alice of course brings out his big albino python snake. That snake gets bigger all the time and it’s so pretty. I have a hard time being freaked out by something so beautiful as that snake is.
So any way, today is Friday. I saw Kenny Wayne Shepard and the Bangles. Poison is on now. My feet were swelling a little bit, so I decided to stay in off of them and to use my oxygen machine for a while. It does help some. I was kinda tired anyway. So I will rest for now and tomorrow I will catch John Kay and Steppenwolf, The Doobie Brothers and Heart
I think I hate our neighbors. They are playing music when the bands are playing. I could hear Poison just fine if it wasn’t for that shit. Annoying fuckers.

 Madison, Wisconsin

Tonight we are in Madison, Wisconsin. We got here last night very late. We came through Chicago last night around midnight. Man, the roads there really suck and they make you pay tolls to drive on their crappy roads. I just don't get that. I wouldn't mind paying to drive on a nice road, in good repair, with no pot holes or bumps but I-90 W is one of the worse roads in the country, I do believe. I don't think you should have to pay the tolls when the roads are in such bad shape and there was so much construction going on, it was hard to get through even in the late night hours. At one time last night, Lois called to let me know it was raining up ahead of us, so I said lets stop and close all the windows. The last thing I need on the road is to have everything in the bus get wet, right? Well, we took an exit and wouldn't you know it, no west bound re-entry! All we could do was go back east and then we got lost and all turned around. When suddenly there appeared signs for a detour for I-90 W! We finally got back going the right way and of course we had to pay that toll twice! Oh well, we got going into O'Hare Airport and was supposed to pay an $.80 toll but Brian didn't have change and there was no one manning that booth so guess what? We drove through it without paying. Any way, we didn't get into Madison until 3 am, so we got this room for last night and tonight. Got some good rest, went swimming and soaked in the hot tub for a while. Now I am dying my hair and getting ready to take a shower. We will be back on the road early tomorrow heading for Walker, Minnesota for the Moondance Jam Festival!

On the Bus, on the road

Well, everybody, here I sit at yet another little hippie festival. We are in a small town called Auburn, IN at an auction park. Our friends, Charlie and Lois are vending here and we know some of the other vendors too. Charlie and Lois let us come in with them, so we got a nice place. Lots of room, electrical hookups and we are on the hard top road too, which makes it easier for me to get around. They have real bathrooms and I hear they even got showers too. I may have to check it out tomorrow. There aren’t too many vendors here and that’s pretty cool, cause there aren’t many people here either. The music has been pretty good. Of course Ekoostik Hookah always kicks ass and the other bands are pretty trippy and pretty good too.
We got here on Thursday night and they had a pre-party with some music. Lois and Charlie and I had scooter races. Lois won. She just got a new scooter and it rocks. Mine has been acting funny since we left Nelson’s Ledges. I think it’s got some sand in it or something. Today it seemed to be doing better, maybe the sand is coming out of it a little at a time. I hope so.
Smokey, one of the other vendors, is a healing man and does energy work and Reikki on people. He did some work on me last night. I can use all the help I can get.
I found this kick ass flying dragon at one of the vendors booths and I just had to have it. It’s hanging up in the bus right now. I named it Puff. It’s a magic dragon. It’s really cool and will go well with the flying mermaid, Porcellina of the vast seas, that I have at home.
Brian put up the lights I got at Big Lots a while back. One set is flowers and the other set is smiley faces, rainbows, rainbow hearts and clouds. They look so cool. I love being tacky. The bus is becoming more and more homey.
I got some more drawers too. Now I have my clothes in one set of drawers and all the other stuff in another set. It’s much more organized and so much easier to find what I am looking for.
I heard that the security here stole all the beer that was intended for the bands and they drank it all. Now they are riding around on golf carts all drunk and shit. They look funny but I bet the bands ain’t too happy about it. LOL.
The weather has been pretty cool too. No rain, and the days are not too hot, they are very warm, and the nights are kinda chilly. But it’s good to wrap up in a nice warm blanket and play on my computer. If I wanted to I could get on line but it would cost me $24.95 to do it and I just ain’t interested in doing that, so I will wait until we get to a hotel and if they have internet service I will use it or I can always use dial up. Then I will post this and try to see what everyone else has been up to lately. I know Lucy is doing something with feet but my feet are so off limits. They are so ticklish, I don’t know if I can stand to have them photographed. I know I can hardly stand to have them be touched. I just might kick some teeth out. Hope someone has good dental insurance, lol.

Well, I’m still here at the Indiana Jam Bash. Had a good night’s sleep and now we are talking about leaving here a little early. The show is so slow, no one is selling much of anything here. All the vendors are complaining. The people just didn’t show up and the few that are here, aren’t really buying too much of anything. There is a big show getting ready to start in a place called Walker, Minnesota. It’s called the Moondance Festival. The Guess Who, Steve Miller Band, Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, Heart, The Little River Band, The Doobie Brothers, John Kay & Steppenwolf, The Bangles, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas and various other bands too will be there. I think it sounds pretty cool. If we go, it means I will get to see Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Santana’s Gregg Rolie, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas and Mountain Ash on my birthday. I think that is far better than going to a water park where there is pretty much nothing there that I can do. Don’t get me wrong, I love to get in some water, it’s just that most water parks are more about water slides and waves and climbing ropes across the water and just wading in ankle deep water and that’s fine for the young ones and the strong and able bodied but it ain’t no fun to me. I need easy access and at least waist deep water as quick as possible. Then I am happy and I can float and work my legs the way they need to be worked.
Brian has gone to get me a taco salad. There isn’t much to choose from here though.
